Rehabilitation of domestic hot and cold water systems with AIS PPSU in a penitentiary center

The Quatre Camins Penitentiary Center, inaugurated in 1989, was the first correctional facility built by the Generalitat de Catalunya after taking over penal enforcement responsibilities in 1984. Located in the municipality of La Roca del Vallès, it has a total capacity of 1,594 places for adult male inmates, primarily in standard and open regimes.

This project involved the rehabilitation of the domestic hot water (DHW) and cold water (CWS) systems using the AIS PPSU system, which includes PERT-AL-PERT Multilayer Pipes and PPSU fittings. This solution is ideal for hot and cold water supply installations within buildings, fully compliant with RoHS and other safety regulations for materials in contact with potable water. It ensures water quality without metal migration and avoids adding odour, taste, or toxicity.
